Step 1:
Open Task Scheduler - make sure to run as administrator.
Step 2:
On the right hand side click on "Create Basic Task.." . Name the new task "AutoRecServer" and click Next.
Step 3:
Select "When the computer starts.." and click Next.
Step 4:
Select "Start A Program" and click Next.
Step 5:
Under "Program/Script" click Browse and navigate to the AutoRec Server file path. (by default this is C:\Program Files (x86)\OCRex\AutoRec Server) and select the AutoRecServer.exe file and click Open.
Step 6:
Add the word start into the argument box, and insert the following into the Start in box (NB: no quotation marks) - C:\Program Files (x86)\OCRex\AutoRec Server\
Click Next and then Finish.
Step 7:
Double click AutoRecServer on your task list to open its properties window.
Under General, select "Change User or Group..". In the box under "Enter the object name to select", type SYSTEM and click "Check Names".
Select OK.
Ensure the "Run whether user is logged in or not" and "Run with highest privileges" boxes are ticked.
For "Configure for" select your Windows version.
Step 8:
Under Triggers, ensure "At system startup" is enabled.
Step 9:
Under Actions, ensure it reads -
Start a program
C:\Program Files (x86)\OCRex\AutoRec Server\AutoRecServer.exe" start
Step 10:
Under Conditions, ensure all boxes are NOT ticked.
Step 11:
Under Settings, ensure only "Allow task to be run on demand" is ticked.
In the dropdown menu on the bottom left Do not start a new instance is selected.
Click OK and you are finished. Your AutoRec server should now automatically start running on start up.
